Announcing our Etsy Shop!

Hi friends!
We are really excited to finally open our Etsy Shop!
Over the past couple of weeks, I've been busy painting, brainstorming craft projects & setting up our shop!
I've always loved to paint, craft & express myself artistically so I'm really excited about using my creativity to help bring in funds for the adoption! All of the proceeds from the shop will go towards our fundraising. Cary, our best friend Allie, my mom & sisters will also be contributing crafts to the shop! We are all so excited about getting creative for Baby K! Right now the shop consists mainly of my paintings, but we plan on adding journals, pillows, bunting flags, jewelry, as well as other fun items very soon! We will also be adding lots of Christmas crafts in a few months! I will share updates as we add more items to the shop. Our hope is to make crafts that are creative, uplifting & inspiring! We love color, Bible verses, & quotes so expect to see a lot of that in our shop! I'm hoping the shop will allow more people to be involved in our fundraising!

Visit to browse our Etsy Shop! We hope you find something you like! If you have a specific idea for something that you would like us to custom make, send me a Facebook message, Etsy message or email me at! It would bless our family to have you participate in our adoption fundraising by purchasing a painting or other item! :)

Check out the pictures below for an idea of what I've been working on! I've been having lots of fun "crafting for Baby K!"

Coming (Very) Soon to our Etsy Shop!
Pendant Necklaces!
I am so excited to add these cool necklaces to our shop! We just got the supplies in the mail today & I can't wait to get started on some designs for (the inside of) them!

The necklace on the right is one I ordered from Etsy last year. Once completed, our necklaces will look similar to that! Our necklaces will include Bible verses, cute patterns, maps, initials, etc. We will have some options in the shop in about 2 weeks.

As I mentioned above, our best friend Allie Christian is also making crafts for our shop! Here's a glimpse of what she will be making! She will be adding items to the shop very soon!

How fun are these hand painted journals!? We have a couple of different size options, with the option of blank or lined pages. Allie will also be taking custom orders for the journals! She is pretty awesome! :)

These are a couple of the pillows Allie currently has in stock. She will offer made by order options to choose from as well as custom orders! I will post when Allie's products are added to our Etsy shop!

More examples of pillows made by Allie!

Thanks for stopping by the blog & checking out our Etsy shop!

I promise I'll be taking a break from painting soon to write a more personal post about what's been going on in my heart as we walk through this process of adoption. As always, thank you all for the encouragement, prayers & support!

Puzzle Fundraiser Progress!

Our puzzle finally came in the mail!!! We have loved putting together & labeling the "claimed pieces!"
If you missed our first Puzzle post, click the "Puzzle Fundraiser" tab at the top of the blog to learn more!

The puzzle progress has been such an encouragement to us. It's been a huge blessing to be visually reminded of all of the support we are receiving! Every time we look at it we are blown away by the generosity of our friends & family! We feel so loved, encouraged & supported by so many of YOU!

We ordered a 300 piece puzzle instead of a 250 piece so that we would have 50 extra pieces to represent the generous people who donated to our adoption before we started the puzzle fundraiser. In total, donations have come in for 127 of the 300 puzzle pieces! We are only 23 pieces shy of the puzzle being halfway completed!!!

We've been having so much fun putting together & labeling the pieces! Here's what the back side of the puzzle looks like so far! We are so thankful for every person & donation! If you've donated, check out your piece/s!!!

Front View so far!

Back View!

If you are interested in participating in our puzzle fundraiser here's how it works:
~Each puzzle piece is a minimum donation of $30!
~You may just want to be represented on one piece of our puzzle or on many pieces!
~Your name will be written on the back of each piece you represent!
To get your puzzle piece, go to the paypal link on the right side of this blog! Or you can email us for our mailing address if you are interested in sending a check, cash or have questions. If you want to make a tax deducible donation, please email us. We have options in process for those interested.

The puzzle is a constant reminder of God's provision & His plan for our family. We cannot wait to see it completed!

We are SO grateful for all of the prayers, support & encouragement!!!
Thanks for checking in!

Updates from Canada!

Hi friends! This is my first post from Canada! We are finally all settled into our apartment in Hamilton & will be living here for the next 6 months. (If you don’t know, we are in Canada because my husband plays football in the CFL. You can read more about why we move by clicking on the “About Me” tab at the top!) I've been busy unpacking, keeping our puppy Juno entertained & getting to know our new city! I think we are really going to enjoy our time here. Cary has started training camp with his new team. Camp is pretty rough so we would love for you to lift him up in prayer over the next few weeks.

Road trippin' to Canada!

Cary's first day of camp! I'm so proud of him!

Now that we are settled, we’ll have plenty of time to continue working on all the remaining paperwork for the adoption. I will be filling out applications for potential agencies, grants, loans, etc! We also need to complete our profile book & of course, continue our fundraising. We have been so busy with fundraising, moving & getting settled here in Canada that so much has been put on hold! I’m so ready to move forward & I’ll keep you updated on our progress!

We started our Puzzle Fundraiser a week & a half ago right before we moved. So far, 54 of the 250 pieces have been claimed! We are so thankful for every single donation & person involved in this fundraiser so far!!! (If you are interested in learning more about our puzzle fundraiser, click on the “Puzzle Fundraiser” tab at the top of the blog.) I can’t wait for the puzzle to come in the mail so I can start putting it together & share pictures of the progress! The puzzle is already such a testament to God’s provision & such a beautiful representation of the generous people in our lives!

Our sweet friends James & Katie Lowder are auctioning off the precious little painting below on behalf of our adoption fundraising! We are so thankful for James & Katie & their beautiful hearts! This precious couple is so talented & sell their artwork all over Louisiana. Their art is inspired by their love of God & often reflects the beauty of God's creation & the culture of Louisiana! To bid on the heart painting, visit: Katie & James Lowder: Art on Facebook. Comment on their original post to bid! (The highest bid is $55!) Bidding ends June 6th.

A time of waiting...
We love our time away together in Canada but sometimes it can be a little bit lonely for me. I would appreciate your prayers as I enter into a time of “waiting”. Waiting to finish this paperwork stage, waiting to move forward & start presenting to birthmothers, waiting to hear we are matched, waiting for details of our sweet little one, waiting for Baby K & waiting to be a mommy. Pray that during this time I would grow as a woman, a wife & a mommy to be. Pray that my life would reflect Jesus as I seek to love Him & my little family. As always, we would love for you to pray for our baby & birth mother. This journey to parenthood has been filled with sorrows, joys, surprises, blessings…I’m so thankful I have some down time to reflect on all that has been going on in our lives this past year & a half! I’m just so amazed at what God has done in my heart over the past couple of months. He has turned my tears into laugher, my sorrows into joys & my mourning into celebrating. He has given me peace & reassurance that He has a plan for us. Right now our adoption journey is full of so many unknowns but there are two things I know for sure-nothing is “unknown” to God & little Baby K is worth every bit of “the wait”!

Thank you for your prayers & support!
