Parenthood is about love, not genetics: Sharing our adoption story & Isabel 3 months

God is continuing to open doors for us to share about all He has done in our lives throughout our journey to bring Isabel home. It's exciting (& a little nerve racking too) to share our story on a bigger scale than just on this blog, but we are thrilled for the opportunities.

Today, our adoption story is posted on exPress-o, a successful lifestyle blog that has been featuring a series on adoption over the past month. It was a joy to reflect back on our journey while writing the piece…the whole process was truly an adventure. The way God brought everything together is just amazing. I'm thankful for the opportunity to share & hope our story will encourage & touch the hearts of those who read it! Go check it out: http://diana212m.blogspot.com

Next Tuesday night, May 19th, we've been asked to speak at Bowties for Babies, an pro-life event held at the Old State Capitol by the Louisiana Right to Life Federation. We are honored to have been asked to share our story at such an impactful pro-life event. We attended the event last year, and were so encouraged by the message, speakers & spirit of the event.  If you're interested in attending, you can purchase tickets here. Please be praying for us as we prepare to share our heart for life, adoption, birth mothers & open adoption next week.

Last year at Bowties for Babies

Miss Isabel is 3 months old today!

Somehow, our love for baby girl seems to grow deeper with each passing day. She is the most precious little baby & an absolute delight to our hearts.

Lessons from Motherhood Month Three:
everything from Month One & Two, plus:

Time seems to be passing a little too fast for my momma heart.
Every single day with a baby in the house is full of adventure!
And somehow, it all seems to just keep getting better…
Waiting on the Lord's timing is absolutely worth it…I can't imagine life without our sweet Isabel Grace.

Isabel, you are my greatest joy! You are sooo cute & your little smile lights up my world.
Your first tooth starting coming in this week…super early...I seriously can't believe you're big enough for that to be possible.

Sooo much personality!

This month, you got to meet your Aunt Allie (aka our bestie) for the very first time! She totally spoiled you & our visit was very special. Also, mommy & daddy had our first weekend get-away-trip without you. You stayed with Sassy & Papa J & had a blast getting quality time with your grandparents! Thanks for being such an easy going, happy baby ;) You are sleeping longer at night & constantly smiling & babbling with us. You aren't really a cuddly baby, but when you do rest your head on my shoulder or fall asleep in my arms, it melts my heart.
The highlight of this month was celebrating my first Mother's Day with you in my arms, it was super special. You also played in your mini pool for the first time last weekend…you enjoyed kicking & splashing in the water, but to tell you the truth, daddy & I had more fun with the whole experience than you did ;) I'm so excited for all of the new things you are going to get to experience this summer, we are going to have so much fun!
Love you -Momma-

Our little family is experiencing some major transition this month…we would appreciate your prayers for wisdom, provision, peace, unity & direction.
The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps. ~Proverbs 16:9

We are excited to see what adventure the Lord has next for us!
