Introducing Baby Noah!

We are thrilled to share pictures of our precious son with you...
Meet Noah Griffin Koch!

Born April 15, 2016 at 12:19 p.m.
Weighing 7.12 lbs & measuring 19.5" in length
He's beautiful & perfect in every way!

Noah's life is such a testament of God's faithfulness & love. In August of 2015, exactly 9 months ago, the Lord put it on our hearts to start preparing for another baby. We prayed about it & felt strongly that domestic infant adoption was where God was leading us. Fast forward 9 months & here we are with our newborn son in your arms! So amazed by God's plans.
We chose the name Noah for our sweet boy because it means peace & rest. From the moment we heard about Noah's birth mom our hearts were filled with peace from the Lord.
To read more about how God led us to baby Noah, check out my post over on my friend Kailey's blog, Cheers to Plan A:

As of today, both of Noah's birth parents have signed the adoption papers. We are so thankful they both followed through on what they believed to be the best decision for baby Noah. We are forever grateful & deeply honored they chose us to be his parents! His birth mom has been so strong & incredible throughout this entire experience. Please keep both of Noah's birth parents in your prayers during this time.

Now that the papers have been signed, we can breathe a huge sigh of relief knowing baby Noah is home for good..Praise God! Noah is such an incredible gift & we love him so much already!

Isabel is home & adjusting to her new role as big sis. She has been so sweet with baby brother! It's a time of transition for us all. Cary & I are embracing life as a family of four wholeheartedly & praising God for the honor of raising our little blessings. We would love your prayers for us as we bond & get settled into a routine.

We can't wait to share more about our time in the hospital & life as a family of four, but for now we want to focus our time & energy on our two little ones, so we will just leave y'all with some pictures:

To each & every person who's supported, loved on, prayed for & celebrated with our family over the past few years…THANK YOU!
Thank you for loving us & supporting us as we walk out the call God has on our lives…Thank you for praying for our children before you ever knew them…Thank you for praying for our kid's birth parents…
Thank for lifting us up every step of the way.

We still have some remaining adoption fees to take care of, if you feel led to bless our family with a donation you can give through YouCaring:
https://www.youcaring.com/cary-tyler-koch-478852
or through Paypal to tylergordykoch@gmail.com by choosing the "send money to friends & family option" :)

God has provided for us in incredible ways through our wonderful community & we are so grateful!

God is faithful & His plans are good.
With love,
Tyler, Cary, Isabel & Noah

Welcome Baby Noah

Today was a glorious day!
Baby Noah was born at 12:19 p.m.
He weighs 7 lbs 1 oz & is 19.5 inches long.
He's so precious & sweet!

We are so grateful we were able to witness his birth & be there to love on his birth mom throughout the process. She is recovering well & is doing well emotionally so far. We were able to have a sweet visit with her this evening. We have a room at the hospital (praise God!) & are taking care of Noah full-time. We are so thankful for this time with him & are savoring these precious moments!

So amazed by the miracle of life & adorable baby Noah.
Thank you God for your incredible plans for our family!

Please keep us all in your prayers, especially Noah & his beautiful birth mom. We shared specific prayer requests in our previous blog post, you can find those requests here

With love,
Tyler

Baby K #2: Prayer Requests for Birth & Days Following

Yesterday Cary & I are celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary! Today (Friday, April 15th) we will witness baby boy's birth & God-willing, become a family of 4!!!

We wanted to fill y'all in on the plan for the birth, hospital stay & the days following. Adoption is incredibly beautiful, yet heartbreaking at the same time. We cherish your prayers during this emotional time, especially over the next week while we are in the hospital & then home with baby boy.

Little man will be born via c-section today (April 15th) at NOON. The original plan was for him to be born at 7 a.m. but we found out at 5 a.m. this morning that a scheduling error was made & the procedure had to be pushed back. That's adoption for you…!
The plan is for us to be in the room when he is born. We are honored & excited to be included in such an intimate way. We cannot wait to meet him!
We want to love & support his birth mom as much as possible throughout his birth & afterwards while we are all in the hospital. We are asking God for His hand of protection over birth mom & baby during the c-section. We are praying that baby boy will be born healthy, without complications & for our hospital stay to be smooth. The plan is for us to care for baby boy while we are in the hospital. We are praying a room will be available for us to stay in with him. We will find out if we will be able to have a room tomorrow morning. Please be praying for room availability & favor throughout our hospital stay. We are praying that the nursing staff would be accommodating & sensitive to the entire adoption situation. We are praying for good communication between everyone involved with this situation, especially for great communication between us & little man's birth family. This is a highly sensitive time for everyone. Our hearts want to honor his birth parents as much as possible during this time. Even if things are scary, emotional & uncertain, we want to love them as best we can, whatever that means.

We are asking God to be near to little man's birth mom throughout this hard process, especially in the hours & days following the birth. We are praying for peace in the midst of her pain & for wisdom, clarity & strength as she makes her final decision to choose adoption & us. The plan is for baby boy to be discharged & come home with us. His birth mom cannot sign the adoption papers until 5 (24 hour) days after the day of his birth have passed. We will not be sharing pictures of him until the adoption papers are signed.

Those long days of waiting will be extremely difficult for us all. We are praying for the Lord's peace & rest to cover us during that time period. It's scary to put your heart on the line when things are so uncertain…but we know the Lord holds our future & the future of baby boy in His loving hands. We believe His plans are best & we know He will be with us every step of the way. We know no matter what comes, He is enough for us. We want to put our hope in Him, not the outcome of this situation. We are clinging to these truths as we enter into this week.

We are asking for visitors to hold off until the adoption papers have been signed. We want to take that time to bond & adjust to being home with baby boy & Izzy. Once the 5 days have passed & papers are signed, the birth mom's decision to choose adoption & us as parents is a final one!

We also still need to have the birth father sign surrenders. This was supposed to happen this week, but there have been a few complications. As of now, he is scheduled to sign on Monday. We are praying he signs Monday so the situation doesn't drag out. We would appreciate prayers for him during this emotional time.

Isabel will be staying with my family while we are at the hospital. We will miss her so much, but she will be making a few trips to visit us & meet baby brother while we are there. :) We would appreciate prayers of protection over her while we are apart.
We are so excited about Izzy & baby boy being so close in age, but we know it'll be quite the transition for us all! We would appreciate your prayers as we all come home & begin to adjust to life as a family of 4!

We are believing God will continue to do "much more than we could ever ask or imagine" as we trust in His plan for our growing family. We are so thankful to have such an incredible community supporting & praying for us! We can't wait to share pictures of little man with all of you once the adoption papers are signed!

With love,
Tyler

Izzy's 1st Birthday Party

Two months ago, on February 12th, our sweet Isabel Grace turned ONE!

We had such a special day with family & friends celebrating her 1st year of life. I wanted to finally share some of the pictures here from Izzy’s party before little man makes his grand arrival in 3 days!

Table set up --- before all the amazing food arrived!

Love our expressions here as we delighted in our baby girl!

Our best friend Allie made the trip from Texas to spend the weekend
& celebrate with us. So special! You're amazing Allie, we love you!!!

Most of the decorations were from the baby shower my friends & family gave me before Isabel was born, which made them all the more special. We added a few new touches with the fun balloons & loved how it all came together. My brother hand cut flowers & arranged them for us beautifully. Allie, my sister & brother helped the decor up & get our house party ready. My mom, Cary's mom & a few family members blessed us by bringing yummy food. So thankful for each & every person who came out to celebrate sweet Isabel with us! We felt really loved that weekend.
Huge thanks to everyone who helped make it special for us!

Our girl's 1st year was a dream…& it just keeps getting better!

---------

Only 3 days until baby boy makes his arrival!
This is a big week for us. On Thursday we celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary & on Friday little man will be born! We are excited & finishing up all the last minute preparations. We would appreciate your continued prayers over our family. I will be sharing specific prayer requests soon!

With love,
Tyler

Adoption #2 Update!

If you haven’t heard the news yet…
We are matched!

If all goes according to plan, we will have our baby boy in our arms in exactly 12 days!!! We are SO excited, amazed by God’s plan & busy preparing for baby boy!
I’m hoping to share more details about how everything came together so quickly & unexpectedly with y’all very soon. You can read a little bit more & watch our Adoption Announcement video on our YouCaring page:
https://www.youcaring.com/cary-tyler

I was also asked to shared more about our journey over on my friend Kailey's blog for her Be Brave Series, you can check out my post here. It's always an honor to share our story in the hope of encouraging others.

Back to our adoption update…
The adoption fees for this adoption are much lower than we were expecting since this particular situation is unique & the ministry that connected us to Noah's birth mom isn't charging a matching fee. Amazing, Praise God! Although the fees are lower, we were not expecting to be matched for another year & thought we had plenty of time left to save & fundraise, so we are still a few thousand dollars short on the funds for our attorney.

If you'd like to give you can do so through YouCaring https://www.youcaring.com/cary-tyler-koch-478852
or through Paypal (tylergordykoch@gmail.com
-choose "send money to friends & family option"
We are also working on another adoption fundraiser,
details coming soon!

We would appreciate prayers for us, the brave birth mom & precious baby boy as we all prepared for his arrival. God is so good & we know He will continue to cover us with His grace, peace & provision during this exciting time!

With love,

Tyler
